EGX Exploration develops high-enthalpy geothermal resources to supply energy across several pathways: baseload electricity for datacenters and grids, high-grade heat for industrial processes like aluminum smelting, and thermal input for hydrogen and synthetic fuel production.
Geothermal wells can supply high-grade heat and baseload electricity together. We plan to apply that combined output to industrial production.
The industries hardest to decarbonize are the ones that need the most energy: data infrastructure, metal smelting, chemical processing, hydrogen production, desalination. These industries don’t need intermittent power supplemented by storage; they need cheap, continuous, high-grade energy. That is what geothermal is suited to provide.
AI computing, industrial heat and hydrogen are each constrained by the same bottleneck: the absence of cheap, reliable, always-on clean energy. That’s the market EGX Exploration was built to serve.
As our geothermal portfolio grows, so do the industries we can serve, from desalination and critical mineral processing to direct air capture and beyond.

The AI buildout is constrained by power, not compute. Geothermal can deliver dedicated, behind-the-meter baseload electricity to large compute facilities, reducing grid dependency and the need for on-site storage.

Industries responsible for roughly 30% of global emissions — steel, aluminum, cement, chemicals — remain almost entirely dependent on fossil fuels because no clean source has matched the cost or the thermal grade. High-temperature geothermal heat can change that equation.

The green hydrogen economy has been held back by one constraint: energy cost. Low-cost, continuous geothermal heat and power can make large-scale hydrogen production economic where solar and wind alone cannot.
